Frequently Asked Questions
What is your approach to headshot sessions?
My sessions are relaxed and unhurried. We work past the stiff first frames and keep going until the photograph feels natural, confident, and real.
I’m not comfortable in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most people feel this way. I guide you throughout and keep things conversational so you don’t feel like you’re performing.
How long does a headshot session take?
The Essential Headshot is a one-hour session, and the Signature Headshot runs up to 90 minutes. I don’t rush, because the best expressions show up once you settle in.
What should I wear?
Simple clothing works best. Solid colors and clean lines photograph well. I’m happy to advise ahead of time if you’re unsure.
Do you help with posing and expression?
Yes. I give clear, subtle direction throughout the session. Small adjustments make a big difference.
How do I choose my final images?
You’ll receive a proof gallery and select your favorites directly from it. This lets you focus on expression and feel before final retouching.
What kind of retouching do you do?
Retouching is natural and restrained. I clean up distractions and keep you looking like yourself on your best day.
How can I use these headshots?
Your final images are delivered ready for professional use across LinkedIn, company websites, press releases, speaker bios, social profiles, and marketing materials. You’re free to use them wherever you represent yourself or your business. If you need something specific—such as a cropped version for a banner or a black and white variation—just let me know.
How much does a professional headshot session cost?
The Essential Headshot is $350 and includes a one-hour guided session, a private proof gallery with more than 20 images, and three fully retouched final photographs. The Signature Headshot is $550 and includes up to 90 minutes of photography, multiple looks, eight fully retouched photographs, and black-and-white versions. Additional retouched images are $75 each. On-location sessions in Westchester are available for an additional $150.
Do you offer both studio and on-location headshot sessions?
Yes. Studio sessions take place at Common Thyme, 1 Wolfs Lane, 3rd Floor, in Pelham, across from the Pelham train station. I also photograph individuals, executives and business teams on location throughout Westchester, New York City and Connecticut.
How should I choose an executive headshot photographer?
Look closely at the photographer’s work and pay attention to expression. Do the people look natural and comfortable, or do the photographs feel stiff and overly posed? You should also understand how the photographer works, what the session includes, how images are selected and retouched, and whether the photographer will take the time to help you feel at ease.
Do you offer team or group pricing?
Yes. I bring a portable studio to your office and photograph your whole team in one visit, for a $450 session fee plus $110 per person (minimum of 6 people). Each person gets one retouched image. See team headshot pricing.
