LinkedIn Headshots

A profile photo that looks like you on a good day.

Your LinkedIn photo is often the first picture of you a recruiter, client or colleague sees, and they usually see it small, next to your name in a list. That changes what works.

What works at that size: a close crop, head and top of the shoulders, so your face fills most of the frame. A simple background that doesn't compete with you. Eye contact with the camera. An expression that's relaxed rather than posed. Clothes you'd wear to an important meeting in your field.

What to bring: two or three tops or jackets in solid colors. Skip busy patterns and logos. If you wear glasses every day, bring them, and we can shoot with and without.

In the session we look at the pictures together as we go and keep adjusting until you have one you're glad to put your name next to.

Pricing. The Essential Headshot ($350, one hour, three retouched images) covers most people's LinkedIn needs. If you also want options for a website, speaker bio or press, the Signature Headshot ($550, up to 90 minutes, eight retouched images plus black-and-white versions) gives you more to choose from. Additional retouched images are $75 each.

The studio is at Common Thyme, 1 Wolfs Lane in Pelham, across from the train station. Photographing a whole team? See corporate and team headshots.
